Ray Hoskins is a counselor, coach, author, and musician who has spent decades helping people navigate life's challenges and grow into their potential.
For over 30 years, Ray has worked with individuals and organizations, guiding them through transitions, helping them clarify their values, and supporting them in becoming the people they want to be. His work has always been rooted in one core belief: that every person has the capacity for growth, integrity, and meaningful connection—but sometimes we need help finding our way back to ourselves.
Ray's first book, Rational Madness: The Paradox of Addiction (1989), explored how people develop self-destructive patterns and how they can break free. Now, with Reversing the Drift, he turns his attention to a different kind of drift—the gradual pull away from our values that can happen when fear, uncertainty, and manipulation intersect.
Ray understands this territory personally. He's watched people he loves get caught in the drift. He's experienced his own moments of questioning and recalibration. This book emerges from that lived experience, combined with deep psychological insight and genuine compassion.
When he's not writing or coaching, Ray can be found making music, taking long walks, and reflecting on what it means to flourish in these uncertain times. He lives in Indiana and welcomes conversations with readers who are on their own journey of rediscovery.
